The NanoTriboTest module enables rapid high-cycle linear reciprocating nano-scale wear tests to be performed with track lengths up to 40 mm. During these tests, the depth and friction data are continuously recorded for the duration of the experiment and can be viewed as a function of sliding distance, cycle number or time. The module can also be used in conjunction with the electrical contact resistance technique.
The NanoTriboTest extends the range of nano-tribological tests possible with the NanoTest Vantage. Obtainable parameters including friction loops, energy dissipation per cycle and cumulative energy dissipation are automatically calculated in the NanoTest software.
